Determination of Relationships Between Stand Variables and Parameters of Weibull Function for Fagus orientalis Libsky Stands

Aim of study: Information about the diameter distribution a stand is key resource to determine planning strategies, silvicultural treatment options and product variety. In this study, distributions Fagus orientalis Libsky stands located in Karabük region were researched, relationship between parameters Weibull function variables was investigated.
 Area Data used study obtained from pure Oriental beech (Fagus Libsky) region, north-central Turkey.
 Material methods: For sixty-two sample plots Lipsky taken. Maximum likelihood method estimate two-parameter probability density function. The estimated then expressed as linear functions such mean diameter, basal area, minimum maximum diameters etc.
 Main results: regression model using arithmetic an independent variable found superior for estimation scale shape parameters, respectively.
 Highlights: While determined by both methods give close results, determining with developed models seems be terms examining changes according different structure simulations.
